A no-login Doodle alternative
Doodle used to be the default answer to "when can everyone meet?". What Doodle's free plan actually includes
These limits come from Doodle's own create flow and pricing page, checked live in August 2026:
- Creating a group poll requires a Doodle account. The create form asks for your email up front, and the submit button says "Sign up and share".
- The free plan includes one group poll, one booking page, one 1:1, and basic sign-up sheets.
- A free poll is capped at 10 time options.
- Deadlines, automatic reminders, and hiding the participant list are listed under Pro's "advanced settings".
- The free plan shows ads; "No ads" appears on the pricing page as a Pro feature.
- Pro costs 11 dollars per seat per month billed annually, Team costs 16, and Enterprise starts at 15,000 dollars a year.
To be fair, the product behind the paywall is polished. The poll editor has rich text descriptions, video conferencing links, week and month calendar views, and an "All day" duration for date-level polls. Doodle can find a day for your group, provided you have an account and one active poll at a time is enough.

The second step is optional fine-tuning: filter the range to weekdays or weekends, show public holidays for your country, set a multi-day event length, or turn on a comment feed so the group can discuss options in place. Then you get a short link and a join code. Anyone who opens the link types a name and taps the days they can make.
When Doodle is the better choice
Doodle is more product, and sometimes you need more product. Pick Doodle over Best Day To Meet when:
- You book meetings with clients every week and want booking pages or 1:1 links tied to your real calendar, so invitees only ever see times you are actually free.
- You need Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex links attached to the invite automatically.

Moving a poll over
There is no import to run, because a date poll is small enough to recreate in under a minute:
- On the homepage, name your Event and pick a mode: Calendar (Participants mark every day they are free in a range) or Date options (you list exact dates or multi-day blocks, like two candidate weekends for a trip).
- Skim the optional settings (holidays, weekday filters, event length, comments) and create the Event.
- Send the short link, or read out the join code. Participants vote without signing up, and can edit their answer until you lock the Event.
- When one date wins, lock it and export the .ics so it lands in everyone's calendar.

Can I use Doodle without an account?
Not to create a group poll. As of August 2026, the create form requires your email and the page states "Account required". Responding to someone else's poll is a different matter, but the organizer signs up.
How many polls does Doodle's free plan include?

Is Best Day To Meet actually free, or is there a catch?
